She’s baaaaack.

Vocal Fry Studios is proud to announce the return Canada’s best kinda-literary, mostly-feminist, definitely hilarious and bingeable podcast: Cavern of Secrets.

On October 21st, the show you love to use to tune out your coworkers and crying kids is coming back. And on October 27th, the show will be live on stage at the Revue Cinema with BAFTA-winning internet terror Kyrell Grant, Toronto author Marlowe Granados, New York Times best-selling author Mary H.K. Choi, and more.

Cavern of Secrets is the brainchild of comedian Lauren Mitchell (@internetlauren) who wanted a place to talk to women about how great it is to be them without ever being asked, “what’s it like to be a woman in…”

In its first run (courtesy of Penguin Random House and Hazlitt, and produced by Anshuman Iddamsetty), Lauren sat down with authors like Cheryl Strayed, Yaa Gyasi, Carrie Brownstein, Carmen Aguirre and more. Great Canadian talent dropped into the studio: Denise Balkissoon, Tanya Tagaq, Namugenyi Kiwanuka, and Courtney Skye

“Look at that list. I was literally the last person to go on Cavern of Secrets in 2016,” says Vocal Fry Studios co-founder Vicky Mochama.

“I feel like I killed it, so now I have a moral responsibility to bring it back to the world.”

“Cavern is one of my favourite podcasts; it’s rare when you get to make exactly the kind of thing you want to see in the world,” says Katie Jensen, Vocal Fry Studios co-founder.

Katie will be executive producing the series with producer Ellen Payne Smith, music from Bianca Giulione, show artwork by Nick Iluzada and editorial support from Sarah Daniel.

The new capsule season of six episodes drops every day starting on October 21 with guests Sarah Hagi, Monica Heisey and Georgia Webber
